Poppy Appeal 2008
Around this time every year we start to see little red poppies appearing everywhere. These poppies are manufactured by the Royal British Legion Industries, whose head offices are in Aylesford, Kent for their Poppy Appeal. This year's Poppy Appeal theme "Serving those who Serve" emphasises the need to help men and women who are serving today, as well as ex-Services and dependants.
The Poppy Appeal supports the RBLI who care and campaign for the serving and ex-Service community all year round. Due to their dedication and exceptional support the RBLI were recognised in this year’s Kent Business Awards, where they won the Social Care Award and the Judges’ Award for Excellence 2008.
When RBLI upgraded their phone systems in the summer, it made sense for them to use a local supplier and they selected ADM Computing, Canterbury, fellow Kent Business Award winners (Customer Service 2007). ADM Computing recently launched a new ADM Telecom sphere to the business and provided RBLI with Avaya Telephone systems across 10 Kentish RBLI locations.
INSERT QUOTE FROM RBLI (Suggestion as follows: ... @ RBLI said “ADM Computing already provides the RBLI with computer services and support so we were pleased to learn that they could also provide Telephony Services. It’s great that we are now able to source both Telecom and IT support from just one local supplier “)
ADM Telecom has recently launched its new website and is donating £5 to the RBLI’s Poppy Appeal for every enquiry that is received through www.adm-telecom.co.uk up until 11 O’clock on Remembrance Day, 11th November 2008. The Poppy Appeal is your opportunity to show your support for the RBLI, so please give generously and wear your poppy with pride.
